A small farmer's cooperative wanted to differentiate their product from the increasing number of others available on the local market, whilst retaining some of the elements familiar with the cottage industry. We moved the jar-cloth idea on and chose a paper-cut design that brings to mind the local tradition of lace. The name comes from the Maltese word for 'ripe' while the logo itself evokes images of ships at sea, in reference to the island's rich maritime history.
